Workshop on Carbon Market: Regulations, Infrastructure and International Experience

This is an event hosted under the Forum for Decarbonising Transport.

Default event time is shown in EST. This is an invite-only event. Located below is information for the primary timezone.

  • This event took place on September 14th, 9:30 AM- 5:30 PM, Indian Standard Time (IST, UTC+5.5).

WRI India in partnership with Convergence Energy Services Limited is hosting a closed-door workshop to accelerate the Government of India’s national plan to electrify 50,000 buses, and build accompanying solar power charging stations, across the country. In addition to decarbonising public transit in India, the program could create carbon assets tradeable under several emissions trading schemes and monetize carbon credits for a payment security fund to attract more private capital, reducing the cost of public transit and attracting more passengers.
