Senior Associate Road Freight Transport, Agora Transport

Tobias supports Agora Transport’s contributions to the NDC-TIA project regarding policy research and related events. Tobias joined Agora in August 2026 as Senior Associate Road Freight Transport, focusing on the decarbonization of heavy-duty transport. Prior to this, from 2022 to 2026, he completed his PhD with comparative research on the quest for a 'Just Transition' to EVs in the global auto industry. During this time, he was a research associate at Freie Universität Berlin, and a visiting researcher at Yale, Cornell, and Tokyo University. From 2013 to 2021, he worked as a manager in KPMG's public sector consulting practice, and before, from 2009 to 2013, as a research associate at Technische Universität Berlin. Tobias holds a PhD in industrial relations, as well as MSc and BSc degrees in economics.
